Beach Family Session at Strands

The Gaya family is so amazing with their 5 kids and amazing connection! They are one of those families that watch and try to learn from because they are so fun, laid back and they really know how to build a strong connection with their kids. The mom, Kelly is my husbands cousin so I’ve know them for 16 years, before they had any kids. They wanted kids sooo bad!
They had to go through a lot to get their 5 kids. I could go on for ever talking about it. Needless to say, they actually have 7 kids because two have passed in from this life. Two little angels who were triplets with their one daughter Abby. Abby has been through a lot to stay here with us. She’s absolutely amazing! She’s a miracle!
I love and admire this sweet family for their amazing examples!

Campbell Family Photos at Temecula Winery
This session was particularly meaningful because their baby girl passed away recently and they brought a little teddy bear that represented her because when she was in the hospital they had given her this teddy bear. Their other daughter held a teddy bear and many of the pictures. It was so sweet!

You could really feel that this family loves each other. The way they interact and calmly and smiled and joked so much. It was truly a joy!

They chose to have the photos taken at a winery here in Temecula because they wanted to have surroundings that represent to Temecula such as grape vines as their back drop. They moved here this last year and it has been a lot of fun getting to know them!

The Clonts Family Session located at Long Shadow Ranch in Temecula CA
This is a perfect example of a full portrait session. It was one hour which gives plenty of time for images that reflect moments of playing, interacting, snuggling, laughing all without the stress of the clock ticking. These images show authentic family connection which is what I strive for in ever session!!
Intentional Parenting

The Charles family photo session was magical! They snuggled and laughed and had so much fun! How do families achieve such closeness? It’s an ongoing process right? As a mother of 4 I’ve learned a lot the past 15 years. Patience is at the top of that list! There’s a term that I’ve grown to really appreciate, “Intentional Parenting”. Those two words say so much!
I try to stop and listen when they interrupt me in the middle of a task, I try to give lots of hugs and kisses, I try to bite my tongue when they say or do something really irritating. Just keep trying! Just keep loving! That’s the key!

One of my favorite locations to shoot male senior sessions

Downtown Temecula is an amazing place to do senior session! There are so many nooks and crannies to take photos! We always start at the bridge by Penny Pickles. I love the leading lines of the bridge and the strong beams on the sides of the bridge! Then we go to a narrow corridor with a red brick wall on one side and vines on the other side. The red brick wall has a rustic feel to it and the area has great lighting! Then we move on to the rustic wood staircase. It has a very masculine look to it and is just the right size. There big beams on the sides that are great for leaning agains. The journey then continues to the water fountain by city hall. The front, sides, close up and far away…anyway to slice it it looks awesome!! I love doing senior sessions in Old Town Temecula!!
